Keeping your skin Nourish-ed!

Nourish Toning Body ShimmerThroughout summer news stories, health magazines and beauty companies inform us about the damaging effects the sun can have on our skin. How many articles did you read, warning you about the heat and sunburn during July and August?

I know, from personal experience, that too much exposure can be damaging and harmful meaning the sudden eruption of freckles. I therefore try to avoid long periods in the sun and moisturise regularly to keep my skin supple and well looked after.

A recent cruise in Turkey meant I was out in 30-35 degree heat, so I made sure to cover up with my kimono and stay protected with plenty of sun cream. However, to prolong my golden tan Nourish have sent me their latest product, Toning Body Shimmer. This is designed to give you smooth and luscious skin with a sun-kissed glow, perfect for October!

My routine

I exfoliate in the shower with the Body Shop coconut body scrub then use coconut moisturiser. Once this has been fully absorbed I apply a thin coat of the toning shimmer to my skin.

Applying a thin layer of Nourish toning shimmer

So far I have been pleased with this skincare product; the shimmery colour tone is subtle and complimentary to my existing tan. It is very easy to apply and does not feel sticky to touch nor does it cling to my clothing. Unlike some products I have used in the past it does not have a strong, overpowering scent so you can wear your perfume as normal.

The ‘directions of use’ suggest that for flattering highlights, smooth across the collar bone and along the arms and legs. I would recommend this is ideal for sprucing up before an evening out. I have only been using it for two weeks so far and generally I find it takes a month to know just how good a product is for your skin, however my initial opinion is a positive one!

The bottle states that it is made with 77% organic ingredients and 6.5% natural minerals. In addition Nourish are part of the soil association. Good news organic lovers!
